11th Annual Chloe K 5K Run/Rock

Description

Race Directors and longtime OAR supporters Jeff and Susie Rayburn host the 11th annual Chloë K 5K race in honor of their daughter, Chloë Korrigan.

In Jeff's words:

"My family has been touched by autism in a very personal way. Our daughter, Chloë Korrigan, is on the autism-spectrum. We know first-hand the struggles people with autism have in everyday life, primarily with communication. The ability to talk and relate to other people—one of life’s necessities—is something a lot of us take for granted.

We’ve been blessed with so many people in our lives that have supported our family emotionally and prayerfully. Without that support, Chloë wouldn’t be the little girl she is today. Not all individuals on the autism spectrum are so blessed."

Proceeds from the race will go to the Organization for Autism Research. OAR funds applied autism research that aims to answer the daily questions that Jeff, his wife Susie, and others impacted by autism are faced with on a daily basis.
