Welcome to my fundraising page!
Running has been a passion of mine for the last 8 years, but an even greater life long passion has been my desire to give back to my community and causes that are near and dear to my heart. Over the years running has given me the opportunity to raise money through my racing for the Chicago Children's Hospital, St Jude, Michael J Fox Parkinson's Disease, a dear friend's daughter with cystic fibrosis, the Boston One Fund, Team Fox, Susan G Komen, and now the Organization for Autism Research.
Autism has touched my life through my own family members managing it and close friends of mine with autistic children. According to the CDC 1 in 68 children are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder with boys being more affected than girls. I know so many beautiful children and adults managing this disorder and the challenges they and their family members are confronted with daily. Your donation will help continued efforts to learn more about autism, prevention, and treatments that could greatly benefit the lives of those living with it.
I chose to run for OAR for a lot of reasons, but the main being that 87% of their money rasied goes directly to help their research and services. Not all chairties can say the same and when you give to them you know your money is going to actually help their mission. This is a great event and an even greater cause and I hope you can help me make a difference when I toe the line at this year's London Marathon!
