In 2004 I took my first trip across the Atlantic to beautiful London, England.
In 2010 I started walking daily on the treadmill… walking became running, running became racing.
Never could I have imaged that the life-changing trip I took many years ago and the sport that I love would come together at one of the greatest marathons in the world.
I am so excited to be running the Virgin Money London Marathon as part of Team Organization for Autism Research on April 22nd, 2018!
OAR’s statement says "PARENT LED, SCIENCE-BASED, COMMUNITY FOCUSED." Right now it is estimated that 1 in every 68 children in the United States has Autism, with parents becoming their greatest advocates. It is a lifelong struggle for those who receive the diagnosis, as well as their families. The financial and emotional tolls are tremendous, and your donation will go directly towards autism research, as well as outreach programs and scholarships. I can speak from experience when I say that having a support system for the child and their loved ones can make even the hardest days a little easier, and that's what OAR is all about… being that support system.
