Hey there! Thanks for your interest in supporting my goal to raise money for the Organization for Autism Research.
On Sunday, April 22, 2018 I will be kicking off my fourth marathon road race, this time in the Virgin Money London Marathon. I have run the New York, Brooklyn, and Chicago Marathons in the past, but this time is different. I am applying my passion for running to raise money for autism research.
With each new race completed, I have set personal records, continually improving upon my previous finish times. This year, I hope to raise the bar by fundraising $6,500 to support the Organization for Autism Resarch (OAR).
My hopes are high, my goals are lofty, and my motivation is clear. While you generously support OAR with your donations, I will be out hitting the pavement, working hard to make the London Marathon extra memorable!
The Organization for Autism Research strives to make a difference in the daily lives of persons with autism and their families.
What is Autism?
Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects one’s ability to communicate and interact socially. It is described as a spectrum disorder, which means that it manifests itself across a wide range of behaviors from mild to severe.
What does your donation support?
OAR strives to raise and spend every dollar in pursuit of knowledge through research or resource development in support of self-advocates, parents, siblings, teachers, and military families living with the challenges of autism.
To show thanks for your donation, I will run with each of my supporters in mind, taking strength from your generorsity in supporting OAR.
Better yet, if you dontate to my campaign, I will write your name on a ribbon and attach to the back of my jersey. Just picture all the names of my supporters fluttering behind me as I run through the street of London.
If you would like me to display the name of an individual or family other than yourself, please email me at tyler.london2018@gmail.com!
