Hello Everyone,
Team 4th of July was named after our son Benjamin. Benjamin was born on the 4th of July and is a firecracker who lights up everyone's day. Benjamin was diagnosed with Autism in March 2017. Benjamin's diagnosis did not change how we felt about him, but it did motivate us to become advocates, and supporters, of individuals with Autism. Team 4th of July does not just consist of Jason and I; our TEAM is filled with family, friends, teachers, therapists, and doctors, who not only support Benjamin but who also support our whole family.
Team 4th of July is committed to raise money to help with autism research, education, and to support people with autism and their families. This year, as a member of Team 4th of July, Jason will be running the Baystate Marathon, on Oct.21st, to raise money for the Organization for Autism Research, OAR. Last year with the support of our amazing and generous family and friends Team 4th of July raised over $3,000 for autism research. This year our goal is to raise at least $2,600 ( $100 for every mile Jay is running)- however if we raise more that would be awesome! Please consider donating to our team to support the Organization for Autism Research - and if you are around on race day please join Team 4th of July to cheer Jay on as he runs the marathon.
