Hello!
As many of you know, I have been an avid runner for most of my life. Running is my escape, my sanity, and my passion. Likewise, I have been a special education teacher for the first 4 years of my career within the Lindenhurst Schools. I love working with children (Always have, and hopefully, always will)! Recently, an opportunity arose to combine these two passions of mine... in the form of the Berlin Marathon!!!!
I am running as a part of the Organization for Autism Research (OAR)Team, this September 29th! I am beyond excited (and nervous) and can't wait to explore the city of Berlin after my race. I am more thrilled though, to be able to fundraise for this organization and further aid students with special needs, and their families. OAR is a unique organization because it's founded and led by the families of children with autism. They are a "roll up your sleeves" kind of group who serve their communities providing leadership, life experience, and heart. The students with special needs I have worked with thus far would melt your heart. They are kind, resilient and creative. I would do anything to help them... even run 26.2 miles in a foreign country apparently LOL
So, I am asking for your support. If you could make a donation to help me reach my goal, any amount would help and it would be truly appreciated!
In return, I promise to run fast, send you pictures of my journeys, and never quit working hard for our children.
