On October 13, 2019 (my 41st birthday) I will be attempting to complete  my 3rd Ironman race. When people first hear about this race, the first word that often comes to mind is "Why?." Why put your body and mind through such extreme physical activity and pain? For me, Ironman is an extreme challenging rush, unlike anything I have ever felt before. It is a true test of strength, resolve and endurance. Only few select men and women will ever know what it feels like to Swim 2.4 miles, Cycle 112 miles and run 26.2 miles all within 17 hours (max).

Much like Ironman, only a few select men and women will ever know what it is like to touch the life of an individual with Autism. To live with a disability is one thing, but to care for, support and inspire an individual with Autism is entirely different. It takes various resources and the support of many different people in an individual's life.

I ask that you support me as I prepare my body for a day of pain and agony by supporting my cause to raise money for the Organization for Autism Research. This organization was founded, and is led, by parents and grandparents of children with Autism. This organization strives to provide scientific answers to daily questions and challenges that autism presents to individuals, their families, teachers and caregivers. It funds research on every day topics such as: education, parent / teacher training, communication, self-care, social skills, employment, behavior and adult / community issues.
