Thank you so much for considering making a donation on my behalf to the Organization For Autism Research (OAR).

I am a dedicated distance runner who is also a very high-functioning autistic person, as is one of my sons. Living in a world largely geared towards neurotypical people is often challenging for us, but there are many, many autistic people on different parts of the spectrum who deal with far greater challenges every day. Life is also often very, very difficult for their families/caretakers. OAR's work is crucial for supporting research and activities that improve the quality of life for many autistic people and their families/caretakers, while also yielding important scientific insights into a very important group within our species.

I hope you will support me as I endeavor to apply my running abilities as a competitor in the 2019 Marine Corps Marathon on behalf of OAR and it's mission. Running has become an unmatched source of mental (and, of course, physical) health for me, substantially improving my quality of life. I'd like to help others improve their quality of life as I run this race. Thanks again for your support!
