Join OAR in the City of Brotherly Love! Consistently listed among the top ten courses in the country, the Philadelphia Marathon and Half Marathon is recognized for its flat terrain, mellow weather and spirited fans. Expect beautiful views through Fairmount Park and along the Schuylkill River and neighborhoor crowds gathering on sidewalks in University City and Manayunk. Weave through the well-traveled streets of our histroic district, passing sights familiar to Franklin, Washington and the rest of the gang and end your race speeding towards the steps of the majestic Art Museum. 


Need an entry?

Skip the lottery! Runners who need a marathon entry can guarantee their spot in the race by registering through OAR. Team members using an OAR charity bib are required to meet the fundraising minimum.
 

Have an entry?

Runners who secure their race entry through the lottery or other guaranteed entry method and pay their registration fee at the Philadelphia Marathon website can join the RUN FOR AUTISM ream any time and fundraise for OAR.
 

Fundraising 

All OAR team emembers are required to submit a Fundraising Agreement. Runners using an OAR charity bib will not gain access to race registration until a signed agreement has been returned. The fundraising minimum for the Philadelphia Marathon is $600 and for the Philadelphia Half Marathon is $350

Runners with their own entry are asked to raise $250 to receive all team benefits.

All fundraising is due one month after the race: December 20, 2016.

The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is a national, nonprofit organization formed and led by relatives of children and adults with autism and Asperger Syndrome. OAR is dedicated to promoting research that can be applied to help families, educators, caregivers, and individuals with autism find much-needed answers to their immediate and urgent questions.
