“WHAT’S UP WITH NICK?”
Our Kit for Kids program is designed to teach elementary and middle school students about their peers with autism. This kit is centered around an illustrated booklet entitled “What’s Up with Nick?”. This colorful, kid-friendly booklet tells the story about a new student named Nick, who has autism, through the eyes of a typical peer. The story teaches children that students with autism may think differently or need some accommodations, but all students are of equal worth and can be great friends. This story is a great way to teach young children about autism.
This packet contains 10 "What's Up with Nick?" booklets in Spanish.
“¿QUE LE PASA A NICOLÁS?”
Nuestro programa “Kit for Kids” tiene por objeto educar a los estudiantes de primaria y secundaria sobre sus colegas que tienen autismo. Este kit se centra en un folleto ilustrado, titulado “¿Que le pasa a Nicolás?”. El colorido folleto, escrito en lenguaje infantil, cuenta la historia de un estudiante llamado Nick, que tiene autismo, a través de la perspectiva de un niño típico. La historia enseña a los niños que los estudiantes con autismo pueden pensar de manera diferente o necesitar de arreglos especiales, pero todos los estudiantes tienen igual valor y pueden ser buenos amigos. Esta historia es una buena manera de enseñar a los niños sobre el autismo.
